Ben’s career has spanned roles in North America, the UK, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Australia.
Ranking among most awarded creative leaders of the past decade, Ben has twice been recognised in the top five CCO’s in the world at the Cannes Festival, and in the Top 10 CCOs in the world on The Won Report.
Ben has most recently been the chief creative officer at DENTSU CREATIVE for Australia and Aotearoa, where they achieved their first clean sweep of the international award shows in 2024, including wins at Cannes, Effies and D&AD.
Before that Ben was a founding member of Australia’s fastest growing independent agency - HERO, which has twice been awarded Campaign brief’s mid size agency of the year.
Prior to HERO, Ben was CCO at Clemenger BBDO Sydney, which enjoyed the most successful period in its 38-year history, including winning Australian Agency of the Year and Network of the Year four times.
Previously, Ben led the creative renaissance at Y&R Australia and New Zealand. In that time, Y&R was the most awarded Australian agency group at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity in 2013, 2015 and 2016, was Adnews, B&T, and Campaign brief magazines Australian 'Agency of the Year', the Australian EFFIES most effective agency, and twice been included in BRW magazines 50 most innovative companies.
Ben’s award tally currently stands at 87 Cannes Lions, 24 D&AD pencils, 36 Effies, three times most awarded ANZ network at Cannes and Spikes, the most awarded at D&AD, Cannes, Andy, One Show and New York festivals. Multiple Grande Prix, Grande Effie’s and Best of Shows. Agency of the Year titles at Campaign Brief, Adnews, B&T, Award and Effies. And a prized second place in the Winchelsea primary school district swimming champs.
